American Daffodil Society - DAFFNET Information

The American Daffodil Society established an Internet list server known as Daffnet, for the purpose of a forum for discussion about growing and hybridizing daffodils. The thoughts and opinions expressed on Daffnet are exclusively the property of the author.

If you would like to reprint or use an excerpt from Daffnet, you must contact the author, using his or her e-mail address, and request their permission.

Below is information about how you can subscribe, send messages, see the names of other subscribers and unsubscribe.

To subscribe:

Go to the Daffnet web page: http//frodo.tackettblake.com/mailman/listinfo/Daffnet/.

Enter your email address and your full name (even though the form says optional), then select a Daffnet password which is not the same as the one you normally use for your ISP.

You will be sent a confirmation message from Daffnet, to which you must "Reply", to confirm you really requested to be added to the list.

Once you are subscribed, you may change your settings, such as specifying digest mode, or changing your password by going to the same web page: http//frodo.tackettblake.com/mailman/listinfo/Daffnet.

To send an e-mail to subscribers:

Send an e-mail addressed to: daffnet@daffodilusa.org

Your e-mail will be received by everyone on the Daffnet list server (currently over 300 members).

This service has international members!

To receive DAFFNET mail in digest form (all messages compiled into one e-mail message and delivered once a day):

Browse to the Daffnet web page: http//frodo.tackettblake.com/mailman/listinfo/Daffnet, and find the section called "Daffnet Subscribers".

Find the area titled: "To change your subscription (set options like digest and delivery modes........etc").

Enter your email address and Daffnet password, then click the "Edit Options" button.

The next page you will see is the "Edit Options" page. One of the choices on the "Edit Options" page, is Set Digest Mode. Select it by clicking a dot by digest, then enter your Daffnet password and click the "Submit My Changes" button.

To unsubscribe:

Browse to the Daffnet web page: http//frodo.tackettblake.com/mailman/listinfo/Daffnet, and find the section called "Daffnet Subscribers".

Find the area titled: "To change your subscription (set options like digest and delivery modes........etc).

Enter your email address and Daffnet password, then click the "Edit Options" button.

The next page you will see is the "Edit Options" page. The first option of the "Edit Options" page, is called "Unsubscribing from Daffnet". Enter your Daffnet password, then click the "Unsubscribe" button.
